    Consider this either a belated Thanksgiving or early Xmas greeting. I felt a bit guilty about bothering you about our broken water heater, but I couldn’t find the warranty info at first and panicked. So in addition to using that as an excuse to wish you a wonderful Holiday season, I thought I’d give you some feedback on the warranty.
    I called on a Sunday and their vendor came on Monday which was pretty good. Old Republic was quite good about approving the replacement and labor, so I have no beef with them. The vendor, a pleasant young man, gave me a song and a dance about earthquake straps, sediment pan, and permits. He told me how good he was for not charging for the removal of the old heater and some other stuff. His kindnesses came to an out-of-pocket $492.
    Although my Brooklyn never-pay-retail genes were in an uproar, I realized this was still less than doing it on our own without the warranty. We saved hundreds of dollars, and it was convenient to have the job done on the spot, so we thank the Lees for the coverage. Of course, I can’t look at the $130 pan under the heater without some mild intestinal distress, but I am learning to see the glass as half-full (or the water heater as full-full).
    On another note, I am slowly accepting my role as a home-owner and take great pride in having replaced our furnance filters and smoke alarm batteries. Maureen is so happy with the house she has taken on all other handyperson responsibilities as long as I figure out a way to pay the bills.
    There’s not a day that goes by that Maureen and I don’t bless our move to Seven Hills. We oftentimes look at each other and say, “Another day in Paradise” (except for the 105 and over degrees days).
    We’re closing in on our first year, so thanks again to the Lees for finding us our home and to Joe for making it so beautiful and comfortable.

    We just wanted to take the time to thank you guys for making buying a house easy, worry free, and fun!
    We appreciate you looking out for us the way you did and treating us like we were your most important clients. We would not think of buying property from anyone else.
